West Wallsend 24 defeated North Newcastle 14
Full time score
West Wallsend 24
North Newcastle 14.
In what was a cold and windy day at Passmore Oval, expectations for a better showing second time around against West Wallsend were expected.
Brett Rumble did not dissapoint by scoring next to the posts after only one minute of play.To sum up the first half,we had all the possession for at least 30 minutes but were unable to convert any of this into points. What hurt us was Westy scoring with one minute out from half time. Hal…ftime Score was 6 all.
In the 2nd half we had the wind behind us,everything looked promising but was not be.Towards the end we put together some good football but it was all too late.Errors at critical times cost us.
Stand out player for the game was Brett Rumble.
Tries to Brett Rumble in the 1st minute,Eddie Asiata in 70th mintute followed by Alex Hoffman scoring his first try of the season in the 74th minute.Luke Fisher adding the extras with one goal.

Round 7 result: Mallabula 38 defeated North Newcastle 10
Fulltime score:
Mallabula 38 defeated
North Newcastle 10.
For the first 20 minutes our boys did nothing but defend our own half. We are unable to really mount any pressure on the oppostion and put them to the test.At the time of a disallowed try ruled to be a forward pass to Dean Glen-Holmes in the 53rd minute we were still in the contest but that was about it.
Overall a quite scrappy game with our ball handling contributing to our demise.…
Try’s to Dean Glen-Holmes in the 27th minute and Eddie Asiata in 41st minute with Luke Fisher adding the extras with one goal.
Best players today were Eddie Asiata a standout in a losing team. Eddie was a handful for the oppostion all game (also great to see him back at the club) and Joel Williams who backed up another good performance from last weeks game.
Next game is against Kearsley next Saturday 3pm at Jeffery Park Kearsley.
